Commemoration of Atatürk and Youth and Sports in Turkey TODAY!

This Public Holiday is a commemoration of the beginning of national liberation movement initiated in 1919 by Atatürk's landing in Samsun. It is dedicated to the youth where children sing the national anthem, play sports, parade, commemorate Atatürk and are reminded of the values of democracy and Turkey. Banks, Local Council Buildings / Governments & schools are all closed for the day.

Inspection Trip..

George & Ulla Strom are in Alanya this next fortnight looking at properties. Guner, Marie & Linda looking after the clients & having a quick coffee before heading out to Avsallar.

Fixing the frdige for number 12...

The engine had broken in the fridge, meaning warm air was being blown out instead of cold for our Finnish Customer. Sebahat called Arcelik & the service men inspected the fridge, mended the engine & returned it same day with a bottle of Nitrogen gas, to make the fridge cold & operable again. Perfect!

Tuesday 18th May...

Tallat is in Alanya until Saturday & will meet Sakine this afternoon, after sharing another delicious meal that Hatice has made in the office.

Helping Sebahat with a computer problem..

Gunas finally arrive with the tables..

After what feels like a week of making constant calls to Gunas, the tables arrive for 3 of the apartments. Believe it or not we were tempted to open Fam Haselgren's champaygne to celebrate :O)

DIY Friday at Jenigo...

Now that the tables have arrived from Gunas number 10, 13 & 14 get there new tables & we arrange for the shelf on the sofa to be put on the correct side.

Two of the windows in the apartment, have required touching up. Usta has been to plaster the air gaps & is now starting to paint both walls, now the plaster has dried.

Family Liman's apartment

Today we have followed up on some jobs that needed to be fixed in the customers apartment they recently bought in Mahmutlar. Just need the elctrical bits & pieces to be finally fixed, which should be completed by Wednesday latest.
